In 2015, the FSD launched the EU-Israel Strategic Dialogue in partnership with the European Policy Center (EPC), European Leadership Network (ELNET), and Egmont – the Royal Institute for International Relations. It was held annually with the EPC and ELNET until 2020. This year, we are holding our sixth edition with a new partner, the Delegation of the European Union to Israel.
We also held three “Mini Strategic Dialogues.” This new format of dialogue, developed and tested firstly with our partners in the French Ministry of Defense, brings together a smaller group of participants and focuses on one strategic issue of mutual interest.

The Third EU-Israel Strategic Dialogue, organized by the FSD, and ELNET EU & NATO in close cooperation with the European Policy Centre, focused on regional cooperation and stabilization in the Middle East.
A Shifting Strategic Balance in the Middle East
FSD, ELNET EU & NATO and the EPC held the ‘Second EU-Israel Strategic Roundtable’, with the aim to promote a high-level debate between European, Israeli and Arab officials, practitioners and specialists on the issue of ‘A Shifting Strategic Balance in the Middle East: What Room for New Regional Strategic Cooperation?’.
